How to fit your work around long-term travel – a digital nomad's guide

That feeling when you work on a brief from a chic apartment that features a private pool and a gorgeously dramatic ocean view. You sip iced tea in the shade, knowing that as soon as you are done, you can jump in the cool water. Or go off exploring one of nature’s wonders. And definitely try some amazing local food for every meal of your trip. But how can you best incorporate fun and a sense of adventure as you work full-time and travel, whilst remaining good at your job?

Beyond The Beach: Your First Visit to Thailand

The first time I learned about Thailand (more than just its geographical location) was by watching the film The Beach around 2000 on a VHS tape in Poland. I remember it vaguely. However, the way the crystal blue waves were crashing onto the golden shore whilst a cult-smitten group of travellers swam in the water stuck with me. The sense of freedom on the isolated, breathtaking island looked addictive.

A Woman's Essential Packing List for Long-Term Travelling: Hot Countries Edition

I set off on a six-month trip around South East Asia with one suitcase and a small backpack. Between November 2025 and June 2026, I travelled to India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Hainan (China), the Philippines, South Korea, Japan and mainland China. This was not my first rodeo in this region, but it was definitely my longest visit. I was not entirely sure about my full itinerary as I did not plan everything before leaving London.

Why does everyone love Vietnam? (And I do too.)

During my travels around the world, the most common ('Cảm ơn' is 'Thank you' in Vietnamese by the way) sentiment I hear from people about their favourite country in Asia is Vietnam. Thailand is also a frequent number one answer, but Vietnam seems to be the winner for most people. And I can absolutely understand why.

Five tips for your first trip to India

As someone who first visited India from London with no prior experience or knowledge I know how unrelenting that baptism of fire can be. I have the privilege of having an Indian father and direct family contacts within the sub-continent. This did assist me when I hit a problem but, alas, the problems still happened.
